I never thought I would say, “I am in Cosmo!”

I read a lot of articles regarding college admissions. Usually these are in relatively scholarly publications. But, especially now, we all need a little fun. I love this article in Cosmo. It contains great advice on what would have been helpful to know before college and, of course, I love being quoted. Now is the time when high school students are tackling the "dreaded" personal statement. Students can use this as a time of exploration rather than drudgery. Maybe it is going a bit too far to say that it is fun, but my students are proud of themselves and what they learn through the writing process.
